It's great to be able to put up sketches of work in progress and get feedback instantly. Sadly my blog has been somewhat neglected. :(I'll try to fix that but in the meantime please check out my facebook page!
Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10:45AM I have officially surpassed 800 images in my portfolio on Shutterstock! I'm not sure that number is really significent in any way, it's just a personal milestone I've looked forward to and worked hard to achieve. And honestly 800 is nothing compared to some folks on there. My head spins when I come across an amazing portfolio and I see there are 40 pages in their port! But I remember a time not so long ago when I only had 300 images and having 800 seemed like miles away.
Now that's enough pausing to celebrate- it's back to work on the next 200! I've got a loooong way to go until I have 40 pages...

Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 12:01PM 2 new prints are up and a few more are almost ready. I've been creating these when I have a little extra time between projects so I do little bits when I can. Sometimes it can feel like slow motion to make progress this way but I've learned that even spending 10 minutes on something is movement forward. After a while you look back and realize just how much you've accomplished in those little chunks of time.

I have finally, after much planning and preparation, launched my Etsy print shop, Peace, Love, and Pretty Pictures! In one sentence I would describe the work as "psychedelic inspirational wall decor". So far I've only got one print up but hey, you've got to start somewhere, right? That's what I keep telling myself anyway. :)
Plenty more to come soon. I literally have hundreds of ideas for prints planned so now its just a matter of finding a way to either work faster or make time move slower so I can get more done each day. I'd love to get some other products happening too but right now I'm taking things one step at a time.
